Abstract

Ismat Chughtai (ء1915-ء1991) was an Indian Urdu language writer.She explained the economic conditions of masses due to result of First World War , social and economic rift and those reasons that force a woman to turn into a prostitute in her novels. In this article economicaly analysis of her novels'Ziddi' Tehri Lakeer' and 'Masumha' are presented. This research article explore the economic condition ,these are mentioned by Ismat chughtai in her novels, which leads to the fall of social status of Subcontinental women.
