Abstract

When the rule changed in the subcontinent, the religious, educational, economic and social decline of the Muslims began. Two different ideologies founded two different curricular institutions and followed their separate paths. Pure religion on one side and pure worldly people on the other side developed, then inevitably the results also appeared, sometimes the noise of atheism was heard, sometimes the influence of the West. Madrasah could not meet the demands of the time and could not respond to the West which was its responsibility. The strong support and recommendation of curriculum changes by thinkers indicates that both systems are flawed.
