Abstract

Shokat Siddiqi is a well known Pakistani  Urdu novel writer He holds a distinctive and prominent place in Urdu novel writings.His novels deals with the criminals activities .He has discussed the crimes took place by landlords as well as the common people.He has also highlighted the reasons  and motives of crimes in his novels.His novel ´Jangloos´ presented the dark picture of  landlord system.In Urdu novels the presentation of crimes and its reasons is itself a meaningful subject.In the present article´the reasons and motives of crimes in Shokat Siddiqi’s Novel Jangloos´ has been discussed so that a new dimension of his art can be exposed to the readers.
