Abstract

The pandemic known as “COVID-19” was one of the bloodiest pandemics in human history. According to the World Health Organization's statistics, there are approximately 772,386,069 confirmed cases of corona, and 6,987,209 deaths are reported. It ranks as the fifth-largest pandemic in recorded human history.

This is what we know about the coronavirus's history: it began to spread over the world in late 2019, when it was first discovered. Regarding the origins of COVID-19, there are two theories. It spread from animals to humans, or it was a biological weapon that escaped from a lab and was discovered.

The outbreak of a viral infection in different kinds of people is a pandemic. We found two types of instructions regarding pandemics in the sources of Shariah. In pre-pandemic days or normal life days, the focus is on precautions that help keep the environment pollution-free. Or makes the environment healthy. The saying of Holy Profit ﷺ very clearly indicates this in this regard. Like he ﷺsays, cover the pots of dinking and eating, don’t drink on broken sides of glass, keep your surroundings clean, and don’t spit every whare. These gestures are not only social etiquette but also very basic SOPs for keeping the environment pollution-free.

In the days of pandemic quarantine, social distancing, and many more activities to reduce the fatality of pandemics, these are the basic teachings of Islam. Islam is a way of life, and if everyone followed its precepts on a daily basis, we think the world would be freed from the invisible health menace that is air pollution.
