Abstract
A multinational company refers to a corporate organization that owns and controls the production of goods or services in at least one country other than its home country. Multinational companies expand their business networks in search of cheap labor, cheap raw materials and markets under the guise of free trade. The share of multinational companies in the total world trade is more than 50 percent which is increasing gradually. These companies have only a two-point agenda, to produce on a large scale and find the best opportunities for consumption of that commodity. Multinational companies have both advantages and disadvantages. Their advantage is that they bring huge investment and resources to local countries. They also introduce new innovations, technologies, and skills. These companies reduce unemployment, increase tax revenue for local governments and focus on local infrastructure. The disadvantage of multinational companies is that it destroys the local industry. These companies make even the people of the most fertile areas suffer from food crises. It buys raw materials at very cheap prices and sells products at very high prices in the name of free trade. Some multinational companies take the joint research of the human race for centuries and establish their monopoly on it by patenting it. Some governments are also powerless in front of the monopolies of these companies, even these companies intervene and make changes in the administrative structures of different countries as desired. These companies are establishing a new neo-demographic system without physically occupying poor countries.
