Abstract

The social aspect of life is heavily influenced by transactions of buying and selling, as individuals rely on each other to fulfill their essential needs. This practice, rooted in ancient times, has evolved alongside the progress of civilization, witnessing rapid changes in various sectors, including financial transactions. Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) elaborated detailed guidelines regarding different types of buying and selling transactions to ensure that these dealings are conducted among people without any disputes. Hence, just like guidance for other aspects of life, comprehensive guidance regarding economic life is obtained from the teachings of The  Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). However, interpretations regarding various transactions mentioned in the blessed hadiths have led to differing opinions among scholars. This article explores these transactions in light of the opinions of Islamic jurists to facilitate a clear understanding of the noble hadiths.
