Abstract

In the work of history of Urdu literature, the principles of research and criticism have been presented very little. Most of the historians have made the weak texts and traditions part of their research and labeled themselves as literary historians, but the history Perhaps the writer did not fulfill the right for which such a heavy responsibility was taken. Every historian seems to claim that he has done admirable work in every respect and from every angle. But according to my research in this field, except for a few historians, there are still many opportunities. In fact, after Jameel Jalbi, Dr. Tabsum Kashmiri is one such historian whose literary history has been evaluated on the criteria of quality according to the principles of historiography. From this point of view, there is no reason to call him a unique and modern historian of the history of Urdu literature.
