Abstract

Among all Urdu short story writers, Zahida Hina has emerged as a notable one due to her topics, female characters and approach towards international burning issues. Zahida Hina's fiction introduces us to the painful and happy scenes of life. Not only history, culture and contemporary life grows in them but also modern awareness knocks on the reader's consciousness. She talks about the ground realities. Zahida Hina has covered countless topics in her fiction, including social inequalities, growing psychological issues in society, dying social traditions, objective political conditions, the horrors of globalization, Rebellion, Oppression، Barbarism, Injustice, Society Beyond the Individual and the World Beyond Society, attempts to capture fleeting moments, atheism, the horrors of war, the grief of being uprooted, broken relationships, landlessness, cultural retrieval, realism, progressivism and feminist issues.
