Abstract

Mirza Ghalib is the shining star of the Urdu language and literature. Ghalib brought classical poetry to its peak. Ghalib evolved the genre of correspondence and gave it a new shape and form. Mirza Ghalib's letters are important in every sense, as he made the letter a dialogue, unlike Muhammad Shahi. This paper contains a linguistic analysis of Mirza Ghalib's letters. In this paper, the linguistic discussions in Ghalib's letters have been included in the analysis, as have Mirza Ghalib's linguistic dispositions and deviations. The trend of using the language of his era in the correspondence of Mirza Ghalib and the changes made in the matter of his usage are discussed in this paper. Given this narrative, this paper is a new addition to a dominant theory.
