Abstract

The development of narrative writing in Urdu literature is considered to be the most important events of the 18th century AD in literature. Correctly, "Tazikra" refers to the book in which the life situations and events of the poets are written. The interest in genealogy has played a special role in the compilation of Tazriks. So, if the names of the poets and their brief biographies were collected along with the selected poems, then it was called "Tazikra" and when the collection of situations and the selection of poems was also given with the reasoned personal opinion of the author, it was The author's critical angle also began to emerge in the type of mention. Muhammad Hussain Azad's famous book "Aab e Hayat" is said to be the first developed form of this kind of mentions. In this article, the tradition of mentions has been presented in a detailed and comprehensive manner.
