Abstract

"Literature is a fascinating medium, whether it is in the form of poetry or prose, it covers all aspects of life. The history of British Urdu literature is continuously travelling and the name of Ehsan Shahid is at forefront. Ehsan Shahid was born in Mian Channu, Pakistanin 1964 and moved to London in search of employment at a young age. The name of poet Ehsan Shahid, who lives in London, needs no introduced in the world of poetry and literature. Because they have been strengthening their grip on field of poetry for a long time. His creative activity tends to have deep and lasting effects. Ehsan Shahid has described ancient and modern in a very beautiful combination in poetry. He has described topics like love, distance from homeland, migration and separation, social inequalities, people’s attitudes, political and social context, joys and sorrows of human life in his poetry. Ehsan is a unique personality of the present era. A beautiful addition to the history of Pakistani Urdu literature is that Ehsan Shahid."
