Abstract

Hazrat Maulana Abdul Haq (may Allah have mercy on him) who was a well-known and prominent religious scholar of village Darmangi Peshawar who dedicated his whole life to religion, his greatest achievement was the first translation of the Holy Quran in Pashto language and he spent his entire life teaching religious knowledge. The greatest achievement of Maulana Abdul Haq (may God bless him and grant him peace) dedicated to acquisition was the Holy Quran in Pashto language. He first translated the Holy Quran into Pashto with simple meaning 100 years ago, and people who speak and read Pashto are enjoying it in every corner of the world. His translation of Quran and commentary in Pashto is loved by people from all walks of life and Quran is easily available at all religious shops in the market. This is the first and original commentary of the Qur'an and is so authentic and succinct in meaning and the long text has been translated in a concise and very unique way. Due to the correctness and comprehensiveness of his thoughts, not only Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but also many scholars and many students of Afghanistan read this commentary of the Holy Quran in different madrasas and mosques and other places and are benefiting from it. Until the existence of this world, Maulana Abdul Haq's translation and commentary will be read and people of all walks of life will continue to benefit from it. Tafsir Darmangi is the most famous and first such Tafsir in Pashto language, which is highly liked by the scholars of this region and Afghanistan. The commentator has made every possible effort to explain the glory of the descent wherever possible and while explaining the explanation, he has explained the explanation from the main source along with the summary. For hadiths, the commentator has chosen Sahih Sita. In this research effort, it has been analyzed and researched by quoting the events and traditions related to the short but comprehensive biography of the commentator.
