Abstract

Human life is surrounded by many daily difficulties and problems. But among the creations of nature, man is the only living creature who can not only laugh but also teach others to laugh. He can solve his problems and mental stress with sense of humor. This feeling motivates him to move forward in life. The human psyche is cathartic. Due to this, the importance of humor in literature increases. The importance of humor in Urdu literature is also certain. Dr. Imran Zafar is a prominent humorist of the present era, who started writing humor during his student days. He gained popularity in the public through humorous speeches in literary gatherings and is well aware of the humorous style of writing. In his research paper for M. Phil Urdu brought out regular humor by giving it a literary color through the title "Urdu Poetry Mein Tahrif Ngari". In the context of humor, two of his works have been decorated with jewels of print: "Shar Aya Shar Aya" and "Corona Mere Aagy".
