Abstract
Detractors of the early Islamic economic system argue that the Meccan migrants burdened the residents of Medina. They contend that the foundation of the Islamic economy relied solely on zakat and Ghanaim, serving as the pillars of the earliest economic structure. Contrary to this perspective, historical evidence indicates that followers of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH), in their pursuit of economic stability, actively engaged in trade as a primary occupation. This strategic shift contributed to the establishment of a robust economy during that era. Consequently, over time, the perceived sources of economic strain diminished, highlighting the adaptability and success of the economic model adopted by the early Islamic community.
